ISNA Mentioned in the Huffington Post

Millennial Muslims in Music City, USA, are searching for a spiritual leader with a big personality to guide their community. The Islamic Center of Nashville posted a colorful "Imam Wanted" ad on its Facebook page on Jan. 30 to spread the news of its imam search across the country. The mosque, founded in 1979 with a donation from musician Yusuf Islam, hopes the ad will attract the right kind of leader -- someone who can meet the needs of its young population...

"The past is prologue to the future." Want to help with the History Gallery Project?
This year again the History Gallery will be on display at the 52nd ISNA Annual Convention over the Labor Day weekend in Chicago. There will be photographs and documents related to the people and events depicting how ISNA and its predecessor MSA grew from a tiny seed into a flourishing tree. Your help is important.
Why bother, you ask? Because, knowing our past adds depth and meaning to our present and future. We understand better where we are going if we know where we are coming from. Or just plain, enjoy knowing what happened way back then.
If you are an 'old timer', please look into your filing cabinet, storage or attic to find and send us photos and documents from the 1960s through the 1990s. If you are a younger person, please check with, or look into, your elders' memory boxes to find photos and documents from that era. Artifacts, too, can be helpful.
Please send the material - or at least excellent copies of it - to the ISNA History Gallery Project at Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), 6555 S. County Rd. 750 E., Plainfield, IN 46168 (317.839.8157) ATTN: Sr. Habibe Ali.
Because the material you might have or find is valuable, we will advise you to first write to Sr. Nudrat Unus at nudratunus@gmail.com to discuss what material should be sent and how to do it securely.
Thank you. You will not regret the effort you make in filling in the contours of our organizational history. And, those who come after you will thank you.
