ISNA and MMCC Host Convention Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in Michigan 
Over the weekend, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the Michigan Muslim Community Council (MMCC), and the ISNA Convention Steering Committee hosted the volunteers of ISNA's 51st Annual Convention at Three Cedars Farm in Detroit, Michigan. 
Ahmed El Hattab, Executive Director of ISNA's Development Foundation and Wendy Bernard, Registration and Housing Coordinator, represented the ISNA staff and its appreciation of the Detroit community's work at the event.  MMCC was represented by Board Chairman Dr. Muzammil Ahmed, Executive Director Dawud Zwink, and Outreach Director Amina Iqbal....

ISNA Quoted in USA Today's Newstory on Oklahoma Food Plant Tragedy 
An employee who had just been fired from an Oklahoma food processing plant beheaded a woman with a knife and was attacking another worker when he was shot and wounded by a company official, police report. Alton Nolen, 30, is unconscious, but Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis says police plan to arrest him when he wakes up.  During Thursday's attack, Nolen beheaded Colleen Hufford, 54, with the same kind of knife used in the plant, Lewis said...
