A Spotlight on this Week's "Young Professionals: Future Philanthropists" - Session 3 - Organizational Leadership
ISNA's "Young Professionals: Future Philanthropists" is an online series that aims at empowering young Muslim professionals with training in philanthropic studies and nonprofit leadership. Developed by the Indiana University School of Fundraising, this online series covers 8 core topics to providing participants with best practices to professionally lead mosques and nonprofit organizations. This week's seminar entitled "Organizational Leadership," is the third webinar of this program. This webinar will expose participants to key areas of nonprofit organizational leadership and the functional areas of successful operation, including the importance of the following: the strategic plan, the budget, measures of effectiveness, and constituency relations.
Meet this Webinar's Instructor:
Shariq Siddiqui is the the executive director of Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA). Siddiqui is a licensed attorney and has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 15 years. He has served as attorney, development director, program officer and executive director for nonprofit organizations at the local, regional and national level. Siddiqui has published on Islamic philanthropy, Muslim American philanthropy, ISNA, the impact of 9/11 of Muslim giving and legislative issues of giving. Siddiqui has taught courses on nonprofit and civil society, religious studies and labor studies. He is also a Ph.D. student at the IU Lilly Family School on Philanthropy.

Over 600 Educators Attend 15th Annual Education Forum
 From April 18 to April 20, over 600 people flocked to the Westin O'Hare Hotel in Chicago to attend Islamic Society of North America's (ISNA) 15th Annual Education Forum. Schools were represented from across the U.S. and Canada. Among the many states represented were North Carolina, Virginia and Texas.
