Beta Testing of Certification Program &
ISSP Sustainability Training in Jakarta Highlight Busy Month of August
By Marilyn Johnson, ISSP President and Senior Director, Corporate Sustainability at IHS, Seattle WA

We are off and running! The Beta testing for the ISSP Sustainability Professional Certification is well underway with the launch of the first round of Beta Sustainability Associate (ISSP-SA) exams. We are learning so much, identifying areas for improvement and achieving the goals of the beta process. I want to thank all of our dedicated members and ISSP Sustainability Hall of Famers who are participating and helping to ensure we have an outstanding product to advance the practice of Sustainability around the world.

In addition to the certification launch, ISSP Indonesia Chapter hosted five days of in-person ISSP Educational Certificate training delivered by Julian Crawford, Marsha Willard and Dorothy Atwood. More than 70 people in Jakarta were involved in the training, chapter meeting, or site visits!

I am also excited to report that ISSP is quickly approaching 1000 members, as we continue to grow our membership, partnerships and collaboration with support from around the world. Together, we are advancing the practice of sustainability, and we welcome everyone to join us in this journey!

Hiring Sustainability People?
Take Our Survey To Tell Us What You Value
ISSP is conducting research on the important attributes that hiring managers are looking for when hiring sustainability professionals.  As our profession matures and more sustainability practitioners are being hired, we want to track the skills that organizations value. With the launch of the ISSP Sustainability Professional Certification program, we also want to confirm that our credential is aligned with the needs of organizations.

If you have hired or are in the process of hiring a sustainability professional, we would appreciate 10 to 15 minutes of your time to complete our 15-question survey.

Help us spread the word. Please forward to your networks or hiring managers that you know.
