Time to Kick-Off a New School Year!

Back-to-school season is here again, and Eco-Schools USA wishes you a smooth transition. There are now nearly 2,600 U.S. Eco-Schools. We invite you to take a look at the results of our 2012-2013 survey and then to join us in our excitement about the year ahead!
Are you ready to take your Eco-Schools program to the next level this year? Will you tackle energy, water, transportation, food, or another of the other ten pathways? How can you get kids outdoors, active, and eager to learn this fall? What are some strategies to increase community support for your greening activities? We'll help you get started with this back-to-school edition of the Eco-Schools USA newsletter.

How Does Your Garden Grow?
If you have a school garden or habitat, now is the time to get students involved in assessing how it fared over the summer. It's also a great time to begin designing and creating a new garden to enhance your school grounds. NWF's Schoolyard Habitats and Eco-Schools USA program have all the tools and resources you need to do both. Download guides for starting or assessing a garden. You'll also find great lesson plans, activities and other resources. If you have a certified habitat and want to highlight your achievement, you can order a Schoolyard Habitat sign. Special pricing available for limited time.
