Share Your Soles
Collect Shoes for the Needy | Offer to Volunteer
Share Your Soles (SYS) continues to enlist schools, churches and community organizations to collect gently-used shoes for needy individuals world-wide. As an extension to collecting and donating shoes, SYS offers field trips to participants for a "Day of Service" where students can get a first-hand view of the operations side of processing shoes and learn about where they go, as well as provide hands-on assistance to staff with washing and sorting shoes/folding and labeling newsletters.
 SYS offers a "patch" to Girl Scouts that dedicate their time and efforts to this worthy cause. So far, over 600 girls have donated shoes set up shoe drives and volunteered their time to each their Share Your Soles patch. Eagle Boy Scouts have also received recognition for their projects revolving around participation with SYS.
"We are really looking forward to providing a day of education - to teach children about caring and sharing", stated Mona Purdy, Share Your Soles President and Founder.
