Beyond Green's CEO Greg Christian and team have been paving the way for bringing more scratch cooking and sustainable practices into cafeterias around the country. Join Greg and his hand-picked group of sustainability speaker experts for a day of learning, networking and revolutionizing the system as they conduct an in-depth, hands-on approach to converting today's processed food oriented food service to fresh, seasonal ingredients, affordably.   • Discover a holistic approach to school sustainability including kitchen architecture, equipment requirements, energy sustainability, new menu's and scratch cooking 
  • Learn strategies, tactics, and tools that are both strategic and tactical, from creating a customizable roadmap, creating a gap analysis, and determining the way forward
  • Network with peers, exchange experiences, and develop new innovative operating practices and policies that can be implemented

Why is the Sustainable School Food Conference important now? Today, more than ever, the educational imperative to teach our children how to eat a more balance-health diet is critical. Obesity is out of control and reaching epidemic proportions. Kids are better focused and more engaged when they have a healthy diets rich in non-processed, fresh foods. Participants interact with sustainability experts in their field and will participate in practical, hands-on workshops to learn how they can drive fresh food in their kitchens, increase top line financial performance and contribute to the overall well-being in their communities.
