Waste Grant Program
Reduce Waste and Increase Recycling at Your School

Waste-free Lunch bags During the 2012/2013 school year, the following SWANCC-area schools will receive up to $200 to purchase equipment, materials or resources focused on reducing waste and increasing recycling volumes.

As an example, Glenview School District 34 is purchasing reusable trays and silverware for each school's cafeteria. Wilmette School District 39 has been supplying its schools with reusable silverware for several years. Other popular items purchased with SWANCC grants include reusable food containers and beverage bottles, dry-erase boards, recycling carts and compost bins.

As a reminder, grant coordinators must submit all receipts along with the designated submission form to Mary Allen by the end of this month in order to be reimbursed.
