Judy Newman Museum Director |
Happy Holiday Season to all of you! We have had such a great year here at the Air & Auto Museum. Many new, wonderful and operating artifacts have been donated, put on loan or fund raised for. We have gotten "Old Stuff" running again, a grant to get the Pusher Flying, and a new tradition started.. The Traffic Jam ... a car show. We completed our 5th year as a Museum already and are excited to see what 2013 brings.
If you have not been in for a while, remember to bring a friend and enjoy WAAAM again.
I am honored to announce...
Our 2012 Volunteer of the Year is Ken Olsson.
Ken showed up to help for the First Hood River Fly In at WAAAM in 2007 and has been a huge contributor ever since. Over this last year he logged more that 1200 hours to help further the mission of keeping this a "Living Museum" Ken is a pilot and motorcycle enthusiast. He is the museums tech guy, published the WAAAM Museum Guide for Aircraft, is a docent & the chairman of our Fly -In AND he works the museum front desk and floor every Sunday! When you stop in again.. Give him a big congratulations.
The Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum is lucky to have you Ken. Many thanks!
