Annual conference week in review & resources

 Week in Review Updated

More than 2500 West Ohio United Methodists assembled at Lakeside Chautauqua last week to celebrate "Becoming the Beloved Community: Taken, Blessed, Broken and Given." Focusing on the second word in the series, Bishop Palmer reconvened the West Ohio Annual Conference with a message on blessedness, a theme which stayed with the conference throughout the weekRead the week in review and download this video to show in your church.

"We have gotten caught up in the commodity and materials of blessings instead of the spirituality of blessing," Bishop Palmer spoke. We need to "chase the Blesser, not the blessing."   Watch or read a summary of the Episcopal address

Daily videos, photos and written summaries are available for each day as well: Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday

United Methodists invited to discuss church's worldwide nature

For many years, the matter of the worldwide nature of The United Methodist Church, while an impetus for visioning and change, has challenged us to live into new ways of being the church today. The issue of the worldwide nature of the church is more than just a conversation about structure. Fundamentally, it is about the theology of a global church that seeks to do mission in the different locations of its members and how they structure themselves for effective ministries within their own context. The Connectional Table and the Commission on General Conference invite you to enter a new into a conversation that has been at the center of our global denomination.
