Prayers for the people of the Ukraine
Bishop Eduard Khegay of the Eurasia Episcopal Area requests prayers for the people in Ukraine. His prayer is for Ukraine, for peace and unity. In this politically conflicting time, the church continues to share the gospel way - the way of active ministry to people, preaching of hope and faith, proclamation of God's power and providence in the history of humankind. Trial Conference Advance Specials
There are many critical mission and ministries within the West Ohio Conference that do not qualify for General Board of Global Ministries Advance Special designation. With additional funding and volunteer resourcing, these ministries could expand their mission and ministry serving people in our communities and regions. Since Annual Conference rules require approval for conference wide appeals, a Special Task force has been created to develop a trial Conference Advance Special, which will allow approved mission and ministries to implement plans for conference wide appeals to churches and individuals. Application, criteria and evaluative standards for application by the May 1 deadline are available here.

Be an early bird for summer camp
Camp registrations are gearing up for a great summer! A brand new Early Bird option this year allows a family to register for summer camp and pay only a deposit of $150 for most camps and $75 for the shorter Explorer Camps. This option hopefully will ease the burden of paying the full cost of camp all at one time. The Early Bird option is available only to campers that register by April 15, with the balance due being charged to your account on June 1, or if registered by mail, a payment is due to the Camp Office. Take advantage of this offer NOW! There are only a few more weeks to utilize this payment option to help families break up camp fees into payments. Please call the Camps Office at 1-800-437-0028 if you have any questions or email [email protected]. We will be glad to assist. Take a look at our summer camp season!

Team finds hope growing in Colombia
How can someone share or explain "amazing" when they see it? What words best describes "amazing?" What the Ohio River Valley District Mission team saw in Brisas last week was nothing short of amazing! The love and hope that is growing in what was once a devastated Brisas del Mar is beyond words. But let us try... After being detained by the Colombian military at a checkpoint far off the beaten path-and in fear of what they might want or do - they showed up every night at the time of adult Bible Study, sat down, and listened to the Word of God being taught! Amazing! To read more about the amazing blessings this team experienced in Colombia, click here
