Scam targets United Methodists | A scam involving someone contacting United Methodist churches and representing the resident bishop's office has been moving from conference to conference across the country and has now reached West Ohio.
No member of the episcopal, conference or district staff of this conference or any other conference will ever contact your church and solicit money over the telephone. The conference sent two broadcast emails last week as well as posts via social networking alerting church offices and clergy to the scam. Please read more.
