A strange brand of happy
A Strange Brand of Happy (OFFICIAL TRAILER) Brad Wise is a 20-something originally from Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church who had a dream to write and produce a movie that everyone could see - with Christian values, but without seeming too traditionally "Christian."  He's now made that dream come true and his new film, A Strange Brand of Happy, debuts September 13 nationally and in Ohio.

Is it OK for churches to modify song lyrics?

Modifying a copyrighted song's lyrics, is the exclusive derivative right of the song owner, but many church worship leaders do not realize it may be copyright infringement if they change, modify or add lyrics to a copyrighted tune. There could be some possible Fair Use applications to lyric changes, but in most cases modifications would require permission from the copyright owner.

Prayer: Philippines floods
Philippines More than 146,000 people were displaced by flooding due to non-stop torrential rains spawned by storm-enhanced southwest monsoon in Metro Manila and four more regions in Luzon. Please pray, too, for the tens of thousands of persons affected earlier this month by devastating floods in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Myanmar. Intercede with Psalm 46:1.

Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion is the oldest Jewish seminary in North America. The Cincinnati campus of HUC-JIR is currently exploring the option of adding an interfaith Doctor of Ministry program. The Institutional Research and Assessment department of HUC-JIR would greatly appreciate it if you could take this anonymous, brief survey that will help guide their decision-making in establishing this program.  https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WOUMC
