Fair wages and access to credit allow farmers and artisans to feed their families, send their children to school, gain access to healthcare, care for the environment, and much more. UMCOR's fair trade program provides a gateway for United Methodists to put their love into action by learning to make informed buying choices that can directly impact the lives of people living in poverty throughout the world.

West Ohio United Methodist Women - 39th Annual Celebration
"Walk with Wholeness" this year's annual celebration for West Ohio United Methodist Women, will  be held on Saturday, November 10 at Grove City United Methodist Church. The deadline to register is November 1. An added feature this year is an optional day of celebrating and engaging in mission in the Central Ohio Area on Friday, November 9. 100 churches to receive free materials for men's ministry
One hundred United Methodist churches will each be given $300 worth of innovative outreach materials to reach men in their communities. Churches that want to create a more vital congregation through men's ministry may apply for the free materials by submitting their church's name, address, contact person, worship attendance and membership to Josh Eidson at the Commission on United Methodist Men a [email protected]. Methodist liaison office opens in Jerusalem
With a spirit of ecumenism, the new Methodist Liaison Office opened on October 11 in Jerusalem "to engage the world Methodist family in Christ's ministry of peace, justice, truth and mercy among all peoples living in this land in partnership with the Palestinian Christian community." The office is a partnership of the World Methodist Council, the Methodist Church of Britain and the United Methodist Board of Global Ministries.  [more]
