Art on the Wabash preview exhibit now hanging at Ivy Tech through mid-September

Forty-one artists have been chosen to participate in the 11th annual Art on the Wabash, West Lafayette's Tapawingo Park, 10am to 4pm, Sunday, September 25.

A preview exhibit is now hanging in Ivy Hall, Ivy Tech Community College; it is open to the public through mid-September.

The show, All Things Local, by Dr. Alice Harpel continues through August 20th. Dr. Harpel paints with such color that it "shouts back at her."

Delphi Opera House presents the British farce, 'See How They Run' on August 5 and 6 at 7:30pm and August 7 at 3:00pm. This rib tickling, physical comedy is a staple of community theatre. Drew Hastings, a regular favorite on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Radio Show, performs 7:00pm on August 27 during the Bacon Festival.

Haan Mansion Museum of Indiana Art will host guided tours featuring historic Indiana paintings, ceramics, American antiques and Mansion history.

Reception for "Delphi Public Library: a building for the ages" by Terry Lacy Sunday, August 21, 3:00pm

Auditions for Wabash Valley Youth Symphony will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Sunday, August 28 in the afternoon. All orchestral instruments are welcome to audition. 

Especially needed are oboe, bassoon and trombone. Audition requirements, excerpts and a registration form to be completed no later than Sun. Aug. 21 will be posted by early August at wvys.org.

Students in grades 6-12 are welcome to audition, but must be also in their school orchestra or band. Specific audition times will be emailed to students on Tuesday August 23.
