A Letter From our Director

PELC is back into full swing and our playgrounds are filled with happy, active children and our classrooms are welcoming, exciting and fun. As I walk through the classrooms and around campus, I hear the happy sounds of children playing, sharing, laughing and discovering.  PELC is a great place to be!

Hot Shots, our sports-based motor development program for 3's, 4's, and 5 year olds starts Sept. 12.  Students love Mr. Dave as his classes are active, fun and good for the children.  If you would like to sign up, you can pick up a form in your child's classroom.

This year Mr. Kyle will be bringing music to all of our PELC classes every other Friday.  Even our infants will be singing and dancing to the songs that are expressly for them.  So far our children are thoroughly enjoying Mr. Kyle and we are happy to welcome him to PELC.

We're off to a great start and I am delighted that our children are making excellent adjustments to school.  As I visit each classroom, I am amazed and thrilled to see so many busy, happily engaged children with excellent, committed, loving teachers who create such outstanding learning environments and programs for our children.

Welcome to PELC!

Teddy Bear Room Newsletter, September 2016, afternoon class

Welcome to a new school year in the Teddy Bear Room, full of fun, friendship, learning and growth.

The children are getting to know the classroom, their teachers and peers, and we are creating a loving and comfortable environment for them.  If you should have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to talk to us.

In September, our themes will be:
Self
Family
Friends
Getting to Know our Classroom

We are going to engage in a lot of projects that will help us get to know each other better. We will talk about similarities as well as our differences.  Our art projects will include self-portrait, heart collage, and class rules poster.  We will be baking heart cookies and making friendship necklaces.

We'll have a fun teddy bear picnic on Sept 21.  Please bring your child's favorite stuffed toy on that day. The picnic is only for the children and it will be on the school premises during snack time.

Reminder: school is closed on Monday, Sept 5 for Labor Day.
