New director takes reigns of Keep Cleveland Beautiful

Keep Cleveland Beautiful has a new director in town. Lisa Cooley moved to the Delta city last year, taking the reigns as the city's Main Street coordinator and Keep Mississippi Beautiful affiliate director. Lisa moved to Cleveland earlier this year with her husband, who coaches football at Delta State University. Before coming to Mississippi, Lisa served as the Main Street coordinator in Natchitoches, La. and director of Keep Natchitoches Beautiful.

"KNB was a very active affiliate, so I was lucky to get a lot of great experience working with KAB," she said. "Cleveland is an amazing place, and we have very active volunteers. I look forward to working with KMB to kick-off some really great endeavors in Cleveland."

Some of the projects on Lisa's radar include: clean-up of the alley behind businesses in downtown Cleveland, beautification projects in the green strip that divides businesses in downtown Cleveland, clean-up of area parks namely specifically Fireman's Park, landscaping effort at the entrance of town on U.S. 61 and implementation of a recycling program.

"With the Grammy Museum coming to Cleveland and the influx of tourism that it will bring, it's more important now than ever that we put our best foot forward," she said. "I have been so impressed with Sarah Kountouris and her team at Keep Mississippi Beautiful and look forward to becoming a very involved KMB affiliate!"

Rapidly Growing Belcan Staffing Solutions Spins off into BelFlex Staffing Network

Bolivar County industrial staffing poised for growth

Cleveland MS, Jan. 21, 2014 - The rapidly growing Staffing Solutions Division of Belcan Corporation, located in Downtown Cleveland will be rebranded BelFlex Staffing Network and launched as a sister company to Belcan, effective Jan.9, 2014. As a part of the rollout, BelFlex has a new logo with the tagline "People Driven Success."

Bob Baer, Vice President, and Richard Schneider, CFO, will continue to be key members of the BelFlex leadership team.
