We are pleased to announce that Lisa Rodin-Gardner, Occupational Therapist, has joined RCM as a Senior Consultant.

Dr. Rupert states, "RCM is dedicated to providing comprehensive diagnostics and treatment to its clients. Lisa is experienced in performing In-home Safety Assessments, setting goals with clients and helping them to reach their maximum level of independence and safety. "

Lisa, a 1989 graduate of the University of Toronto's (U of T) Occupational Therapy Bachelor of Science Program, delivers more than 25 years working experience in the areas of psychogeriatrics, motor vehicle accidents, orthopaedics and case management at various facilities.

She has also used her OT skills in a geriatric based private practice and lectured Occupational Therapy students at U of T.  

Lisa defines "occupation" as anything a person does from the time they wake up in the morning until the time they go to sleep at night.

She states, "By completing a full assessment of the client, I get a picture of the client's level of functional ability. Once I have a baseline, I can work with the client to achieve their goals.

For some it's safety in the home. For many, it's learning how to manage in their community and to lessen social isolation." 

Lisa looks forward to working with RCM's clients to help them maximize function and independence.
