Dear Doctor
Firstly, thanks for your enthusiastic response to our new range of Rapid™ ELISA Kits since their release at the Neuroscience Meeting in San Diego just 6 months ago.
Comments such as these have certainly encouraged our R&D and Manufacturing teams:
- "Best BDNF kit available on the market - we tested all of them".
- "Works for serum and plasma samples without inhibition".
- "Great batch-to-batch consistency".
- "We have been waiting for a specific proBDNF kit".
We are particularly pleased to have satisfied researchers returning for more kits and to learn that the first publications are already in preparation.
Biosensis would like to offer you 25% off your first purchase of a Rapid™ELISA Kit. Mention code JUNEBIOSENSIS when you email or call in your order. Offer valid until June 30th, 2014. For direct purchases only.

Why Rapid™ ELISAs?
|
The very first neurotrophin ELISA kits introduced into the market more than 20 years ago took 3 days to complete (we know because we created them!). The Biosensis R&D team has worked hard to create a new range of assays that can be performed in less than 4 hours (we like to call them our "get your results before lunch" assays!), without losing specificity or sensitivity.
Several conditions needed to be met before the assays could be released. In summary, every new Biosensis Rapid™ ELISA Kit needs to meet the following criteria:
- A level of sensitivity equal or greater than other commercially available ELISAs (Although we also have unique ELISAs).
- Performance must not be compromised by speed.
- The kit must be complete, ready to be used without the need for additional reagents, buffers or plates.
- Validation must be performed on 'real' samples, not just standard, purified protein. 'Real' samples include serum, plasma and tissue extracts.
- Where possible, validation should include beta testing in independent research laboratories.
- QA / QC manufacturing protocols to achieve high batch-to-batch consistency.
- Standards, where available, should be prepared from WHO or other regulatory agency material.
- Protocols should include extensive details to allow first-time graduate students to perform the assay without reference to other documents or researchers.
- The entire assay should be completed in less than 4 hours (ie, Before lunch!).
That's why researchers are sending us compliments. Thanks!

New Rapid™ ELISA Kits
|
The most recent additions to the catalogue of Rapid™ ELISA Kits include:
p75NTR, the low affinity neurotrophin receptor (Human). Click here for more details
The extracellular domain of the p75NTR receptor has recently been shown to be an important biomarker for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Shepheard et al. (2014). The expression of p75NTR in different types of stem cells is associated with critical regulation of stem cell biology Tomellini et al. (2014).
Neurotrophin 4/5 (Human, Primate, Rat, Mouse). Click here for more details
Biosensis' new NT4/5 Rapid™ ELISA Kit is suitable for quantification of NT4/5 in tissue extracts, serum, plasma and cell culture media from a wide variety of species including human, primate, rat and mouse.
