A Message from SkillWorks'
Co-Chairs

Dear Friends and Partners:

On behalf of SkillWorks: Partners for a Productive Workforce, we are thrilled to announce and extend a warm welcome to Marybeth Campbell as SkillWorks' new Executive Director.

Marybeth has 15 years of experience in public policy, public education and project management in the areas of clean energy, education, economic and workforce development. She comes to us directly from the Patrick Administration, working as the Director of Education across the Executive Offices of Education, Labor and Workforce Development, and Housing and Economic Development. Within this role, she advised three cabinet secretaries on workforce and education policy development, program strategy, and implementation. Prior to this, Marybeth served as the state's first Workforce Development Director at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, establishing national-leading green jobs programs by working with higher education, vocational schools, labor organizations and community based nonprofits to develop training and workforce capacity that supports the Commonwealth's growing clean energy industry. Her previous work also includes serving as the Public Education Manager for the former Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust, where she oversaw two education initiatives that funded projects to increase awareness among teachers, students and the public about the benefits of clean energy.

Throughout her career, Marybeth has proven to be a trailblazer, embracing new challenges, and striving for excellence - all while maintaining a deep focus on serving low income individuals and employers through industry-driven skills training and education. Marybeth brings an ideal mix of issue understanding and experience, passion for this work, and unwavering determination to this unique role.

With SkillWorks' recent launch into Phase III of the initiative, we are fully confident that Marybeth will adeptly steer SkillWorks into this new chapter. We are pleased to have Marybeth on board, and look forward to an exciting and successful future with her taking the lead.

Marybeth will be joining her new position at SkillWorks on October 20th 2014.  Please join us in welcoming Marybeth to SkillWorks!

Best Regards,

Trinh Nguyen and Geeta Pradhan
