A Therapist's Experience - Over the course of the past year, I have provided the Domancic Method of Bioenergy therapy for a growing number of children with a PANS or PANDAS diagnosis.   

The Domancic Method provides real relief to children and their families during flare ups of the condition, as well as afterwards when they want to take further steps to improve their child's overall immune system.    Since the method works by addressing the overall health of the client, working with children having an active PANS flare has a lasting impact on their immune system even after the flare is over.

What is PANS or PANDAS

Both acronyms describe a neuropsychiatric condition that comes on suddenly and severely in children.   Some research indicates that exposure to strep or other infections can make a child susceptible or actually trigger a flare, but the understanding of PANS is still evolving.   Typically, parents describe a flare as one or all of the following:   

• Tics - vocal or physical
• Intense anxiety and fears
• Severe OCD
• Total loss of appetite
• Rapid mood swings
• Bed wetting
• Temper tantrums or rages
• Fatigue
• Sometimes bodily pain like swollen glands, headaches, gut pain, or back pain

Often treated with antibiotics, families tell me the drugs seem to provide less relief each time.  Their focus then shifts to avoiding future flares, but since the exact triggers are unknown and can vary from child to child, avoiding all possible triggers  becomes extremely life limiting.  

Families want REAL HEALING

The families I work with are looking for something more.  Real healing for their children.  Stronger (optimized) immune systems to manage any triggering events.   Normal childhoods.    

They turn to the Domancic Method to help boost their child's immune system and then find so much more than that in terms of stopping flares, reducing their intensity, and slowing down how quickly they come on. 

Using the Domancic Method of Bioenergy Therapy

I provide therapy based on set protocols, addressing the issues specific to each child.  Therapy takes place one time per day, usually for 20 minutes, over 4 consecutive days.  The therapy then builds in strength for another 8 to 10 days. 

During the full course of therapy, families see improvements   

• Children are typically calmer after each day's therapy which is very different than the usual path of a flare
• Mood improves rapidly
• Body aches or issues usually start decreasing within the first 2 sessions of the 4 day treatment, often showing a reduction on the first day.
• OCD and anxiety start decreasing rapidly
• Vocal tics usually decrease rapidly by the 2nd session of the 4 day treatment
• Physical stamina usually increases
• Old infections sometimes come to the surface during therapy and seem to finally resolve.  MRSA (drug resistant staph) or strep are frequent ones that appear and resolve very quickly over the course of therapy.

With strong results during flares, families often choose to have additional rounds of therapy.   With each round of therapy, improvements grow stronger and last longer.   Parents have noted that after the first or second full course of therapy, flares seem to come on less often or more slowly, which allows them time to schedule therapy before things become overwhelming. 

For those children who have a chronic level of OCD, their symptoms outside of the flare also decrease with each round of treatment.   Most importantly, they report that the times between flares are happier and smoother for the child and the whole family.   

Families choose the Domancic Method for other health issues.

For the families who see such improvement during a flare, it's an easy choice to do additional rounds of therapy for other health issues.   Their children often also have allergies, asthma, or other health concerns that can directly benefit from the Domancic Method even as their overall immune system is being balanced and optimized again and again.

This method of therapy is pure Bioenergy. (Life itself)   

The Domancic Method of therapy is unique even amongst other forms of energy work in that it only ever focuses on the health of the client, not their illness.   The energy we work with is the same intelligent energy that surrounds us all the time. It works as well at a distance as it does in person. For families whose children are not able to travel to a therapist or group clinic, that's a huge benefit.   

Children, unlike adults, usually don't have many preconceived notions about what kinds of therapy will work.   They simply want to feel better and quite honestly tell you whether they do or not.   

For parents who have seen their children undergo swift and severe changes in personality during a PANS flare, this therapy is easy to evaluate.
