Greetings!
After careful deliberation, I have decided to retire from The Ideacom Network as President and CEO effective at the end of this year. This was a difficult decision for me because I could have worked for many more years given my contentment with both the company and my good health. But retiring with good health has always been a goal for both my wife Pat and me.
I started with Ideacom in February of 2002 when we only had 46 members and about a dozen vendor partners. I'm proud of the growth we have achieved over the years. I am proud of our positive financial growth and the fact that every single year we were profitable during my tenure. In 2014 we broke all previously held revenue records. Most of all I am proud of the fact that my efforts contributed to our members/resellers becoming better at what they do. That is the mission of the Ideacom Network.
Many Ideacom friends have told me that the recent annual conference in Myrtle Beach was our best yet. The annual meeting is the "front porch" of the Ideacom Network "home" in my view. The first annual meeting I was involved with was in Biloxi, MS and we had 5 exhibitors in attendance. This year we had 53! Every single member of the Ideacom Network should attend the conference not once in a while but each and every year.
Our Vice President of New Business Development, Rich Gralto, will be more than a worthy successor. Rich's experience in the industry as well as within the Ideacom Network makes him the ideal leader going forward. Rich has the talent, knowledge and drive to continue moving the company forward. I will be working with Rich tirelessly to insure we have a seamless transition. With the support of the membership and vendor partner community I know he will be successful in his new endeavor.
So, given all of these factors, the time just seemed right for me and right for The Ideacom Network. I am grateful for the wonderful opportunity I was graced with over the past 13+ years. Pat and I have developed relationships that will last a lifetime and for that alone, we are very thankful.
