Verification of NCEA Certified Status Notification
Ridgewood, NJ--September 11, 2013--This notification will serve to confirm the NCEA protocol to verify the status of a NCEA Certified credential holder.
State Regulatory Boards and Interested Parties
The NCEA credential verification process was established in 2008, when the District of Columbia recognized the certification for endorsement. Since then, many prospective employers as well as other states began seeking verification of credential holders as well.
State regulatory boards, employers and other interested parties can verify a NCEA Certified credentialed individual by having the applicant send to our office the "VERIFICATION OF NCEA CERTIFIED STATUS" form.
This form contains a candidate statement, credential number, expiration date and a photo. The form is then certified by the NCEA Executive Director and notarized. It is then sent in a sealed and signed envelope to the address of the state/company office as directed by the state and/or human resources department.
At no time, should a NCEA Certified credential holder provide his or her own certificate solely for verification. There are several reasons for this, but most important is to prevent fraudulent practices.
The form can be easily accessed from our website - http://www.nceacertified.tv/additional-certification-forms
Should your company/state require additional verifications - such as fingerprinting - the NCEA is already able to provide this service to our credential holders - both past, present and future candidates.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the NCEA Executive offices at 201-670-4100.
