Juneteenth - A Fun Time for All

We, the African American Community Service Agency, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce and our own Silicon Valley Black Chamber of Commerce along with leaders of the Vietnamese and Chinese communities are working diligently to create a "fun" and "festive" atmosphere for you this year at Juneteenth in the Park.

Heritage and History does Matter.

How can more people learn about the meaning of Juneteenth?  Why is it important to anyone other than African American's?  How can Juneteenth symbolize freedom to other Cultures?  Why should Juneteenth be important to You?

Aren't you curious if not fascinated by the history of the Spanish culture's influence in the Americas and how distinctly different each Asian culture is.

Everyone is Invited, so come, learn and be a part of this year's Juneteenth's multi-cultural connection celebration through dance, music, food, arts & crafts and more.

This is Juneteenth's 35th year and 1st year that it will feature a Technology Pavilion, a Health & Wellness Pavilion, an Education and Job Fair Pavilion, a Heritage Pavilion and of course a Family & Children Pavilion.

We'll have nationally known performing artists like Pete Escovedo and Tweet along with local talent both Saturday & Sunday June 18th & 19th

We promise this year's Juneteenth will be one of the most exciting, informative and most pleasantly surprising Juneteenths you've ever attended.

Expanding our Next Generation Business Academy

This past year our Next Gen business and financial literacy program was taught at Independence High School in San Jose and was largely sponsored by Comerica Bank.

Comerica has for years been one of our most consistent sponsors and supporters of our Next Gen program.

Their Community Affairs representative, Otis Watson believes in supporting high school youth in learning how to start a business while also learning financial responsibility along the way.

If you believe that America's youth, our youth, should be better prepared for global competition not only in business but with life skills also, then help us expand our Next Gen Business academy by signing up to volunteer.

It's only 1 hour a week for 2/3 weeks a year unless you'd like to serve more. If you work at a Tech company, inquire if your company will pay you or us when you volunteer.
