When I attend a conference or in this case a management school, I always think "how will this help our businesses become more competitive in getting contracts, grow their businesses or become more profitable"?
Sometimes it's for me to become a better chamber president. This time it was for both.
The US Black Chamber of Commerce's School of Chamber and Business Management proved to be once again (I attend in 2013) one of the best investments I could make in chamber time and money.
Connecting with Black Bank Owners, Department of Commerce executives, business acquisition experts along with hearing what the White House is planning to do in regards to economic policy now and in the near future, is just invaluable.
I encourage Business owners to attend these conferences too as the upcoming Ron Brown conference in Sacramento, Ca this Aug 27-29.
This specific conference will also focus on business growth (through strategic partnerships, teaming agreements, etc.), building relationships for contracts and recognizing and honoring successful black women owned businesses.
As I write this I realize it's not for everyone. It's for those who know they need help in getting to that Next Level and are serious about positioning their company for more $$$ and more access to $$$.
If you are serious and want to go to the conf, see link below or call our chamber for more details.
Just the knowledge of the right opportunities around the massive $1.5 billion dollar high speed rail project could keep someone's business profitable for the next 10-20 years. (link to Ron Brown conf)
