Principal's Message | I have written about traffic safety in the past, but I want to reiterate the importance of driving safely in all pick up/drop off areas, especially on N. Civic. Recently on N. Civic there have been cases of unsafe drop-offs in traffic lanes and students not using cross walks. The Walnut Creek Police Department is aware of this will be patrolling more often. Please follow all of the safety rules (no texting while driving, etc.) and always look out for students. Thank you in advance for your support and for looking out for our kids.
Next week, April 20th - 24th, will be CAASPP testing for 7th grade students. We will be going to classrooms this week to clarify testing schedules with the 7th graders.
Have a great week.

WCEF Gala Event
|
Did you know this school year, each student in K-5 will receive 303.75 combined hours of Art, Music and PE? I think that is pretty awesome and I want to thank all of you!!! Your donations to WCEF made those programs possible for all of our students.
WCEF is celebrating 10 years with a spring gala on May 1, 2015 at Rossmoor and I'm encouraging all of you to attend. There will be good food, music played by our older students, and great people to hang out with.
If you can't attend, purchase a ticket for one of your teachers or buy a ticket for a friend or family member. The more we spread the word and celebrate WCEF, the more money we raise for our student's education!
See more information by going to: http://wcefk12.org/newsletter/email/WCE135_SpringGala_0315.php
You can purchase your ticket by going here.
Thank you for supporting something that is so important to all our children's success.

Bookfair Wrap Up
|
Thanks so much to all who made the Book Fair so great. From my chairs, Aileen Baker & Alison McDaniel, to the always delightful Earlene Caven who worked with the taco guys, to the worker bees who set up, neatened up, worked the cash registers and boxed it all up at the end, it wouldn't have happened without you. If you didn't come to the book fair, you missed out! The books were great, the Wednesday book talk was scintillating and the Thursday taco truck was delicious. Unfortunately, we made a bit less than usual so be sure to put it on your calendars for next year and support your WCI library!
