Principal's Message
Sixth grade parents, now is a great time of year to get in proof of the T-Dap for your student.  You can bring in proof anytime to the main office and it is better to do this sooner rather than later.  All 7th graders need to have T-Dap verification to attend school.

Remember too that this Friday is the final day of the quarter.  We will have a shortened day with a 12:47 release on Friday.  We will also be donating our lost and found items again for the end of the quarter.  Lost and found is located on the stage and students can look for items during their lunch period.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

President's Message

8th Grade Promotion Help Needed
The 8th grade promotion will be here before we know it.  As the class Representatives, Julie Gibson and I will be needing lots of help.  Be sure to read the upcoming enews articles to see how you can help. Currently we are looking for a 8th grade dance decoration coordinator.  We need a crafty, fun person to take this on.  You can do it alone, or get a group and have some fun with your friends.  You can pick the theme, and have some good crafty fun.  If you are interested, please contact Cathy Mauger or call 330-6997.

Boxtops for Education
A great way to start the New Year, and to earn more money for our library, would be to have the box top receptacle filled with all those box top coupons!  Over the holiday break, please continue to save all those box tops.  Just have your student drop them off in the library the first week they are back in school.  Anne Woods at shepwoods@comcast.net wants to thank everyone again for their ongoing support on behalf of the WCI library.  Have a wonderful holiday!

Walnut Blvd Safety Trail

Hello parents! One year ago Lucia Clymer was struck by a truck while walking home along Walnut Blvd (between Homestead Ave. and Sierra Dr.). She was badly injured and we are trying to prevent further injuries or fatalities. Hundreds of kids walk this stretch to school, and hundreds more are driven to school along this stretch. We need your help to build a kid's safety trail to improve safety for pedestrians AND drivers.  Click here for more information and to donate.
