Welcome to WCI and welcome back those who are returning. I hope everyone is continuing to enjoy the summer and looking forward to the new school year. It is useful to always read all of the e-news every week since it will post important dates and upcoming events.
For those families who have incoming 7th grade students, please fax, e-mail, or personally bring in records of your student's Tdap vaccination. Our fax number is 925-933-1922 or you can e-mail Earlene Caven at ecaven@wcsd.k12.ca.us. Please do not wait to do this, students are not allowed receive their schedule or attend classes without the Tdap verification.
Welcome back again, we are looking forward to an excellent school year.

2014-15 Tri-S Information
|
It's almost time for Tri-S registration day. Please plan on attending on Wednesday, August 20th, 9:00am-12:00pm OR 4:00pm-7:00pm to get your student(s) registered. Soon, you will receive your registration packet from the school district office with instructions on how to register online. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS ONLINE REGISTRATION BEFORE COMING TO TRI-S ON THE 20th. Having all online forms and purchases completed prior to Tri-S will save you time on Tri-S day. If you are unable to attend this event, feel free to send a someone to the event with your necessary printed forms (per the packet you will receive from the school district office) and they can register your students(s). Tri-S Volunteers Needed

Tdap
|
|
All 6th grade students will need to show proof of having received Tdap (pertussis) vaccination after the age of seven before they enter seventh grade. We are now starting to collect this information from all 6th grade students. We are asking all 6th grade families to provide written verification of Tdap as soon as possible.

Scanned and e-mailed to ecaven@wcsd.k12.ca.us

Article Submission Guidelines
|
The WCI PTA publishes the eNewsletter every Wednesday. Our goal is to provide information to the WCI community in a timely manner. If you have an article to contribute email it to Susan Heitmann at wcienews@yahoo.com. Please limit articles to 150 words or less. The deadline is every Sunday at 6pm. For community announcements (non WCI specific submissions) please review the community section guidelines for approval by the Walnut Creek School District.
