Principal's Message | With less than two weeks left, I wanted to congratulate all the students who have had an excellent academic year. This week and next I will be going into classrooms giving our academic excellence awards for students who received a 3.75 or higher in at least one quarter. Students will also be receiving an award for receiving a 4.0 all quarters.
On Wednesday, June 11th, we will be hosting the President's Awards in the MU at 8:30 am. If you were invited to the President's Award ceremony, which is for 8th graders only, you should have received an invitation last week.
I hope everyone has a great second to last week.

President's Message |
Less than two weeks to go until the last day of school. I want to take this opportunity to say a fond farewell to this year's graduating 8th graders and their parents. I wish you all well in the years ahead.
Also, this week I want to say a huge THANK YOU to the person who works "behind the scenes" all year to get these Enews letters out - Susan Heitmann! I'm sure she hates that she is being asked to print this article - but she truly deserves our gratitude for helping to keep all of us parents informed about what is going on weekly at WCI. Thank you, Susan!!
Have a great week!

Boxtops for Education
| With only two weeks of school left, there is still plenty of time to have your students drop off those box top coupons in the library. What better way to end the school year - a full box top receptacle! As a reminder, many companies receive shipments that have box top coupons on their packaging. So please double check before throwing out any packaging. Also, on-line shoppers might go on the Box Top for Education website - they will find a list of companies that offer box top coupons upon purchase. Anne Woods at shepwoods@comcast.net thanks everyone for their continuing support of our wonderful library! |

It is because of your participation that the sports programs are able to happen and move forward, and it's great to see all the kids out there having a fun throughout the year. We are already looking forward to next year, and wanted to make sure that we let you know that we are always looking for coaches for our different sports; girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, and golf. If you are interested, or know someone who may be interested, please contact us at wcisports@walnutcreekrec.org. Thank you again, and have a great summer!
