Principal's Message | Donation Days for WCEF began last week. I want to thank everyone who has donated to WCEF, it allows us to make WCI a better place for all students. Please make sure to read their article in e-news this week to see all the great work we have done together.
As the school year is winding down, please make sure all library and text books are turned in on time. Keeping our instructional materials in good condition and accounted for is an important part of our organizational process.
Have a wonderful week. Mike Cannon

President's Message | Less than three weeks to go until another school year is all wrapped up. The end of the school year is a busy time, just read the articles below to learn all about the many activities taking place over the next few weeks at WCI and how you can help out.
This week, I want to say THANK YOU to our PTA Grade Level Parent Reps who work all year long to coordinate the special grade-level events at WCI - Vera Caulfield, Cathy Mauger, Julie Martin, and Sara Hill. These awesome volunteers have worked hard to put together 6th Grade Skate Nights, Greco-Roman Day, Japan Days, Byzantine Bazaar, and of course the 8th Grade Graduation Party and Picnic. Please join me in thanking this great group of volunteers!
Please remember that grade-level social studies events such as Civil War Day, Byzantine Bazaar, and Greco-Roman Day are just some of the many things parent donations to WCEF support at WCI. In addition, working together, the WCI PTA and WCEF provide funding toward our 2nd Vice Principal, Campus Safety Supervisor, and important technology maintenance and upgrades. Thank you so much for all of your support to make WCI a great place for our kids.

Boxtops for Education
| With only two weeks of school left, there is still plenty of time to have your students drop off those box top coupons in the library. What better way to end the school year - a full box top receptacle! As a reminder, many companies receive shipments that have box top coupons on their packaging. So please double check before throwing out any packaging. Also, on-line shoppers might go on the Box Top for Education website - they will find a list of companies that offer box top coupons upon purchase. Anne Woods at shepwoods@comcast.net thanks everyone for their continuing support of our wonderful library! |
