Principal's Message
Today 8th graders will receive a passive letter to take part in a program that promotes health among adolescents.  This will be taking place in their regular PE class on May 20th.  There is contact information in the letter if you do not want your student to participate in the program.  We are looking forward to having the program at WCI and professors for the University of Texas and UC San Diego will be helping with this.

I hope everyone is doing their best keeping cool and enjoys the rest of the week.

President's Message
As the school year winds down, each week from now until the end of the school year, I want to use my "President's Message" space to thank some of the many volunteers who do so much for our kids at WCI.  This week's group is the fabulous group of parents who make up this year's Executive Board for the PTA.  Most of these folks have served on this board for two years logging countless hours both on campus and at home.  My job as PTA President this year was made significantly easier because of these dedicated people who I have been so fortunate to spend time with this year.  Thank you so much - Jackie Cate, Susan Farrell, Michele Fiquet, Samantha Francois, Rick Lewis, Cathy Mauger, Aimee Moss, Nancy Rhee, Ellen Schuler, Tim Schultz, Garnet Herndon-Shah, and Deema Shehabi.

Our final PTA meeting of the school year is next Wednesday, May 21st, at 9:30am in the Library.  Feel free to drop off your kids and come by at 9:00 for coffee and snacks.  We will be hearing from our administrators about end-of-year activities and also hearing from our Principal and Counselors about the 6th grade transition into WCI.  Click here to see the full agenda.  Hope to see you all there!
