Principal's Message
Congratulations to all staff and community members receiving awards at our PTA meeting tonight at 7pm in the library.  Each year PTA honors members at their Founders Awards, you are welcome to join us for this evening.

Also, please make sure to be safe on pick up or drop off, especially on Civic Drive.  If there ever is a situation where you witness (or have witnessed an accident in the past couple weeks) I would like to know since I do communicate with the Walnut Creek Police department about these situations.

Thank you for keeping all students safe, have a great week.

Mike Cannon
President's Message
Tonight we will be honoring some truly wonderful WCI volunteers and staff for their contributions to our students at WCI.  Please join us tonight at 7:00pm in the Library to help say thank you to this great group of people!  Note, tonight's celebration will be in place of our monthly meeting; our next regular PTA meeting will be on Wednesday, May 21st at 9:30am.

I hope to see you all tonight!

Measure A

Update from Acalanes Union High School District's Measure A

Did you know...

YOU are critical to making sure that we don't lose $3.9M a year in funding - that's about $1M at Las Lomas High School each year. Measure A needs you NOW!

Acalanes Union High School District will never return to pre-Great Recession (2007-2008) State funding levels (based on current State funding formulas and inflation-adjusted projections).  Since 2007-2008 the State has cut education funding by 22% and funding even then was inadequate and unstable.

Local control and the support of the community are critical to maintaining the quality of schools that we expect and our kids deserve.

What are you waiting for?

  1. Mail your ballot TODAY.
  2. Sign up NOW to Phone Bank: http://www.yesforacalaneshighschools.org/support/
  3. Join us May 3-6 to Get Out The Vote. Beginning May 3 at 10 a.m. at Compass Marketing (3446 Golden Gateway, Lafayette), we'll need volunteers to deliver door hanger reminders to our supporters who haven't voted yet.

By foot or by phone, please help REMIND our supporters to turn in their ballots. If you haven't felt the urgency, THE TIME IS NOW!
