FSS Graphic Designer/Photographer Kathy Magerkurth and Marketing Coordinator Gwen McConnell just returned from Portland where they supervised the printing of our NEW FSS 2016/17 Catalog.  Check your mailbox for your copy, full of lots of fun NEW products and NEW decorating and packaging ideas!
Floral Design Events 
This month, we will be hosting a booth at the AIFD National Symposium 2016 in Orange County, CA.  We look forward to sharing information and building relationships with our partners in the floral industry.    

Thank you to all of the customers who attended our Design Shows last month in Carlsbad and Los Angeles. Designer Kevin Ylvisaker provided step-by-step instructions for creating fantastic arrangements, and offered great tips for managing a successful floral business.

We checked in with FSS-Los Angeles Manager Andres Melendez to find out! 


Which product/product line is hot right now?
Our customers love the Norah Pot collection, the Fairytale containers, the Melrose collection, the Array votive collection, and the Woodland Planter collection, all from Accent Decor!  Our metal containers are also trending now, along with our wood boxes. We have a huge selection of containers -- we'll help you find the perfect ones for your events and displays! 

What are you hearing from customers in your store?  
One of our customers, Greta from Glasswing Floral in Los Angeles, bought 20 wood boxes to make rectangular succulent centerpieces.  She reported back that her customer was so happy, she told her she felt she was in heaven with such a wonderful set-up. Greta thanked us for going the extra mile for her. Another customer, Tammy from Julian Designs, needed 56 wood boxes delivered for an event in Beverly Hills.  She called us later to compliment and thank us for our prompt delivery of the product to her venue. 

What's your favorite thing to do in Los Angeles? 
My favorite thing to do in Los Angeles, when I have time, is to go to the movies, see a play, or go to a concert.  For a special treat, I love to go to the Hollywood Bowl for a concert.
