NEW VENDING MACHINES
Thank you for all the wonderful support of our new vending machine. The students are so excited, and the feedback has been very positive. Thank you again to Eric and Donna Church for the donation, and thank you to Donna for her willingness to continuously purchase and stock the machine. It's a lot of work, and we appreciate it! The money we make from the vending machine is going to be used to purchase a new beverage only machine. Once that is complete, we will look into where the profits can best be used. Thank you! WE NEED YOUR HELP
May 23rd is the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. We need assistance with drop-off so that the teachers may enjoy their breakfast provided by the Cicero PSO. Our teachers appreciate the break and especially the extra time in their classrooms!

PLEASE VOTE
Early voting for the May 17th special election on Prop 123 to add education funding over 10 years to K-12 students began on April 20th. We encourage all our Great Hearts families to inform themselves about the Prop 123 facts, embrace their civic duty, and cast their vote by May 17th. Please follow the link to a Prop 123 Fact Sheet. If you have not received an early voting ballot, but would like to vote early, please visit the Maricopa County Recorder's list of early polling sites.

CICERO'S 3RD ANNUAL FAMILY EVENING AT "BIG SURF"
Come join Headmaster Mark Discher and Headmaster Matt Vlahovich and their families at Big Surf on June 3rd for an evening of play and mingling with other Cicero families.
- Hours: 4pm-9pm
- Admittance: 4pm-6pm
- $25 per person (CASH ONLY) includes admission and dinner
- Dinner served from 5pm-7pm
- Dinner includes all you can eat hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, chips, cookies and soft drinks.

GO TO THE HEAD OF THE GREAT HEARTS CLASS
Dear Cicero Prep Families,
Are you ready to go to the head of the Great Hearts class? We'd like to invite you to participate in a fun exercise to get a small sampling of the kinds of things your student is learning, with a chance to win a $100 gift card, generously donated by Streets of New York.
We all know our Cicero Prep students receive an incredible education, one that many of us have expressed is far superior to what we received growing up. While you won't be able to enroll in a Great Hearts academy yourself, you can still learn alongside your student to experience the Great Hearts curriculum and gain an appreciation for the skills and knowledge our students acquire.
Complete this quiz that was specially designed for our Cicero Prep families and return it to Angela Braun, Director of Academy Giving, either in person or by sending your answers to ABraun@Ciceroprep.org by June 1 st.
Each returned quiz with a score of 100% will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift card to Streets of New York. The winner will be announced by email during the week of June 6th.

Goodbye School, Hello Summer! Put it on the calendar to come and kick off the summer with sharing pizza and fun with friends and family! Eat in or take out, don't forget to mention Cicero at the register. Up to 20% will be donated back to Cicero. Funds from this event will go toward Cicero's contribution toward the Greater Good Fund.

THE PSO LUNCH PROGRAM NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Besides the need for volunteers, we are looking for donations. We still need a fridge, any size, to be used on the Prep side. Thank you to the Bleimeyers for their generous donation of a fridge to be used at Archway. Also, we are running low on snacks. If you could donate applesauce, fruit cups or granola bars, we would greatly appreciate it. And lastly, we need clorox wipes! These are the easiest and most sanitary way to wipe down tables and the lunch serving room ensuring the space is properly cleaned for the kids. Both Prep and Archway lunch rooms need these badly. LUNCHBOX CLEAN-OUT TIME!
We will dispose of leftover lunch boxes every Friday from here on out. Water bottles will be donated every Friday.
There are uniforms in the Archway and Prep lost and founds and books and learning supplies in the Prep lost and found. These will also be either moved to the used uniform sale or disposed of each Friday.

NO TEXTING WHILE
DRIVING ORDINANCE
The Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community has become the first tribal nation to adopt a no texting while driving ordinance. They passed the measure on April 20th and there will be a 90 day educational period. Please click HERE to read their letter. |
