MONITOR LYCEUM
We need one parent per day for 35 minutes (11am-11:35am) to monitor Lyceum outside activities on the Cicero field. This gives our students the opportunity to play various ball games and to get some exercise. Perhaps you can monitor Lyceum after you volunteer to serve lunch. Volunteer Here
COLLEGE COUNSELING NIGHT

Please mark your calendars so that you can come join us on January 19th for our College Counseling Night.

The College Counseling Night will provide an opportunity for you to hear from Ms. Dee-Dee Sanders, a veteran Great Hearts college counselor, and others about Cicero Prep's plans for preparing its high school students for college and university life after Cicero.

This will be a terrific opportunity for you to ask questions and receive information about where Great Hearts graduates have attended college, what kinds of occupations they prepare for, and what guidance and assistance they receive from their Great Hearts preparatory academy for moving into higher education upon graduation.

Also, Mr. Michael Fink, veteran humane letters teacher at Veritas Prep, will say a few words about the trip to Washington, D.C. that our seniors will enjoy in up-coming years.

The event will be held on Cicero's campus on January 19th at 7:00pm. Please reserve a place for you and your family HERE.

I look forward to seeing you on the 19th.

With every good wish,
Mark Discher|Headmaster

THANKS FROM TEACHERS

Thanks to all of you who contributed to Snow Storm and helped out with the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon prior to winter break. Several Cicero teachers sent the following thank you notes:

"I want to personally thank the Cicero families for all their support. The teacher luncheon was fabulous. Not only was there a variety of beautiful dishes but the beautifully decorated gym and music as well as all the volunteers showed how much time and effort was put into making it special for the teachers. It goes without saying that the generous snowstorm gift is very much appreciated! I wish you all a safe and happy holiday." -Christine Larsen, ESS/504 Coordinator at Archway Cicero

Thank you so much for your generous Snow Storm gift this holiday! I feel so lucky to work here! -Jeffrey Nardone, Music Instructor and Choir Director

I am very thankful for your generosity. It is a pleasure to be part of your children's life which enriches mine with love, priceless memories and satisfaction. I cannot imagine being in a better place than at Archway Cicero. God bless you and happy holidays. GRACIAS! With love, Elizabeth Llamosa O'farrell, Spanish K-3

The Christmas luncheon for the teachers was incredible. When I walked into the gym, I felt like I was walking into a winter wonderland. I just stopped, stunned at such a beautiful scene. I was overwhelmed with the thought that parents would go to such all encompassing work for us. Thank you for such a delightful setting and a very delicious meal.

Thank you also for snowstorm. I had seen parents walking the car line for this event, but didn't fully realize what it all meant. I feel so privileged to be a part of a school family where parents are dedicated to their children and so supportive of the teachers in the classroom. Many of your know that is has been a difficult season for my husband and I with the passing away of several parents, the loss of our long-time companion puppy, and many health issues that have arisen. To receive such gifts, both our snowstorm checks and the resort staycation, touched our heats in ways that you cannot imagine. As we travel to be with our sons this holiday season we look forward to being able to share that blessing with our family in special memory-making ways.

Thank you for such hard, diligent work. You are amazing! Thank you for letting us share in the many joys of watching your children learn and grow. Very Sincerely, Beth Ann Marten, KC TA
TAX CREDIT THANK YOU

Thank you for your participation in the first half of our Arizona Public School Tax Credit drive. As of December 31st, our community brought in $82,047 in tax credit gifts for our extra-curricular programs. This brings us to 97% of our overall tax credit drive goal. And there is still time left! Tax Credit contributions for 2015 can now be made up until April 15, 2016!

If you haven't already done so, please make your contribution online here, or contact Angela Braun, Director of Academy Giving by phone at 480-271-3508 or by email:
[email protected].

Remember, a successful Tax Credit drive will allow Archway Cicero to keep participation fees low and to maintain the vibrant programs that our students love and deserve. That you for your generous support!

HEADMASTER COFFEES

Dr. Discher is looking forward to spending time with the parents of each homeroom section of Cicero Prep this year. In order to do this, he's hosting a series of "Coffee with the Headmaster," one for each section of Cicero Prep.

These coffee times are on Fridays at 7:50am. During this hour together, he'd like to share a bit about the vision for the school and hear from you and get to know you.

The schedule for the remaining coffees is below and he will call all of you personally to invite you to join your section's coffee. The coffees are being held in the Prep Faculty Lounge, adjacent to his office in the Admin Building.

Dr. Discher looks forward to building relationships with you and finding ways to partner together to give your students the best possible education.

Remaining Dates:
6E - Jan 15
