SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR THIS WEEK!
We are excited to host our Scholastic Book Fair this week, Nov 2-5. Your students will be able to visit the book fair before and after school and also with their class if their teacher has signed up for a time slot. Our school will receive a percentage of the sales which we will put back into our library.
Please note, this is a Scholastic Book Sale and while we are hosting the event, we have not vetted all of the books. There are also various knick-knacks and posters available to purchase. Please discuss with your student if there are certain books you would prefer they do or do not purchase. Our volunteers will not be policing the purchases, though we will try and steer the students toward books that would be age appropriate. There will be no refunds or exchanges given.
Again, you are invited to come and peruse with your student before or after school.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME COLLECTION TO
HELP HOMELESS CHILDREN
11/1-11/13, Boxes are in the front office and at the Archway multi-purpose room entrance
Cicero is partnering with Archway Scottsdale to collect new and gently used halloween costumes 11/1-11/13 for St. Vincent de Paul's Dream Center. The Dream Center is an activity center built into the family dining room for children that provides a designated space for kids to participate in art, crafts, tutoring, reading and science experiments.
If possible, please donate costumes in the original packaging. We need sizes: newborn to adult. Target, Walmart and Walgreens will have big costume sales after Halloween if you would like to purchase any to donate. Let's Make a Difference in a Child's Life!

RECYCLING DAY AT CICERO!
Wednesday, November 4th
During Lunch For Archway & Prep
Republic Services are coming to talk trash! Ok, recycling and how to minimize trash. They will tell us what can be recycled and answer our questions.
We are trying to get kids to stop and think about what goes in the recycling containers (two are in the Archway cafeteria, one in the gym and one in the Prep outside eating area).
Parents and caregivers are welcome to join us (you must have your fingerprint clearance card to enter campus though)! Eat lunch with your kids and learn how to save the earth! Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 4th.

CICERO DROP-OFF SUPPORT
We Need You!
We are going live with our first drop-off on Nov 6th and we need YOU! Moms, Dads, Grandparents and Caregivers are all welcome. It requires very little time commitment, 7:20am-8am, yet it means so much to our teachers. Let's give them back the gift of time to be in their classrooms. WINTER CONCERT SERIES
In The Cicero Gymnatorium Grades K-2: Wed, Dec 2, 6pm Grades 3-5: Thurs, Dec 3, 6pm Performance in these concerts is mandatory for all students as it is a portion of their music grades The Archway Cicero Winter Concert Series will be here before you know it! Our Kindergarten-2nd grade concert is on December 2nd at 6pm in the Cicero Gymnatorium. The 3rd-5th graders will have their concert the following night, December 3rd at 6pm in the gymnatorium as well. The dress code for all concerts is in the Family Handbook on the school web site: Click Here - See Pg 45
The Dress Code is also attached below. Even though K-5 grade girls are permitted to wear low heels, our music teachers, Ms. McWilliams and Mr. Nardone do not recommend them. They prefer rubber soled flats since they are safer while walking upstairs, more comfortable and more silent while students walk on and off the stage. Thank you!

FAMILY DINNER NIGHT - 50% DONATED!!!
Tuesday, Nov 10 at Chipotle, 4pm-8pm
Take a break from the kitchen and have some dinner with friends and family! We are having November's "Family Dinner Night" at Chipotle on Indian Bend. This is the night before a school holiday on Wednesday in observance of Veteran's Day and we hope you can come support Cicero. Chipotle is a great opportunity for us to raise money as they donate 50% of the proceeds back to our school!!! Please don't forget to mention Cicero when you purchase. We hope you can join us! NEW LOCATION: EAST OF PREP BUILDING, NEAR FIELD Please ensure your children use crosswalks Sugar-Free Option!
Reward your hard-working child with a snowcone after school. The Kona Ice truck will be parked outside after school on the east side of the Prep building, over by the field. All students and parents will need to cross ONLY at the crosswalks and stay on the crosswalk through the parking lot. Any parents who can help guide children along crosswalks, please contact Christy Harrison at passivefundraising@ciceropso.org.
Kona Ice donates a portion of it's profits to our school. Parents: Please do not use the front office as a pick-up point on Kona Ice days. Children must use normal pick-up locations. The front office is for emergency purposes only.

He will share information about the school, his vision for the school and he'd like to hear from you and get to know you.
