AMAZON WISH LISTS

A HUGE thank you to all families who have already purchased items from our schools' Amazon wish lists.  The impact of your generosity on our teachers is so great!  I have to share with you their excitement when asked to pick up their goodies from the front office.  These lists contribute to the classroom in ways that enhance our student's learning experience.  For example, the Archway music teacher uses hand puppets to keep the children engaged.  All eyes are focused on her so the music lesson is memorable and enjoyable.  And in Mr. Milford's Prep science class, student learning is greatly enhanced with the addition of 6 new microscopes, petri dishes and a super cool dissecting kit, all compliments of parents who made purchases from the Amazon wish list.

NEW!!!

Since so many families have requested this, each school's Amazon wish list now includes items for the Founding Families Campaign. These include chess sets for the library, books, park benches, podiums, ideas for bleachers, scoreboards, artificial grass in the quad and more.

Please use the Amazon Associates link so Cicero will earn 3% from all your purchases. Click on the Amazon logo on each school's website to check it out today!  Thank you for your generous support.

Every donor will receive an acknowledgement, thank you letter and tax receipt. All gifts will also be labeled with the donor's name.

GREAT HEARTS ART WALK
WE NEED HANDY PARENTS!
YOU CAN HELP WITH THIS PROJECT
ON YOUR OWN SCHEDULE

Cicero is preparing for the traditional "Great Hearts Art Walk." It will take place on May 1st from 5:30pm-7pm. We will be transforming the campus halls into a giant Art Gallery, displaying the best artwork of each of our scholars.  Families will be invited to the Art Walk to enjoy the gallery and awards will be given to some of the scholars.

PLEASE help if you're handy! This is a project you can do on your own schedule. Parents are needed to help create several framed panels that will be constructed from 4'x8' foam core and particle board frames from Home Depot.  Once you attend a brief meeting concerning the assembly of these panels, you can make them on your own time at home.

Ms. Thurbon also needs help setting up for the Art Walk on April 30th.

Here's the link to sign-up for either of these volunteer positions: VolunteerSpot

Please contact Ms. Thurbon at [email protected] if you have any questions.

NEEDED: LUNCH VOLUNTEERS

Parents: We'll continue to need your help in order to keep the lunch program going.

You can now sign up for a one-hour shift: either 10:15AM-11:25AM (Prep, K and 1st grades) OR 11:20AM-12:25PM (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades). Please click on this link to sign-up: http://vols.pt/2W8bDP. It's easy! Just simply enter your email address and pick your spot. You are not locked into this spot every month, just that one time. Maybe you could use your work lunch break once per month or perhaps a grandparent can volunteer? If you still need to get your volunteer card, call Great Hearts Human Resources at 602-438-7045, ext. 7. The card is good for 3 years.
