Thanks for Sharing Your #SurvivorSelfies!

Maryann with her dog, getting some post-chemo love

Our #SurvivorSelfies photo contest was a huge success!
People living with cancer, survivors, caregivers and health care professionals shared their unique and creative "selfies" with us. The result was a beautiful collection of inspirational photos celebrating survivorship

We are pleased to announce our winners and a big thanks to all who participated. Our top three finalists each had more than 1,000 votes!

Our Grand Prize winner is Maryann G. (and her dog, Brooklyn). She writes, "I had wonderful and amazing support from my husband and daughter, but I could whisper my fears to Brooklyn without worry of sounding silly."

See all of the amazing #SurvivorSelfies contest photos!

Support Our Free Services

Jeanette P. from South Hackensack, N.J., came to CancerCare after being diagnosed with breast cancer. During treatment she lost her hair. "No one, not even my family, saw me without my hair for the first month," she says.

She began attending a CancerCare support group and found comfort from others facing similar challenges. For the first time, she saw survivors who had become comfortable with their changing appearances.
