National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and CancerCare's free, professional support services help with the practical and emotional concerns of being diagnosed. Our breast cancer services include counseling, support groups, financial assistance, educational workshops and publications.

Former CancerCare client, breast cancer survivor, and The Carnival of Love Foundation VP Despina Manoloudas (pictured second from left) presented CancerCare with a donation from the foundation to support our services.

Coping with a different diagnosis? CancerCare provides support and resources for people coping with any type of cancer.

Caribou Coffee CEO, Mike Tattersfield, knitting the first scarf

Caribou and CancerCare are also providing warmth to those in need through an innovative social media campaign, "CaribouKnits." For every message shared using #CaribouKnits on Facebook or Twitter from September 28 through October 31, Caribou team member volunteers will knit one inch of a scarf. All scarves will be donated to CancerCare to provide warmth to those coping with breast cancer in the Caribou communities.
