Magnolia Meals at Home Continues to Deliver Meals to those Affected by Breast Cancer
Breast cancer treatment is often accompanied by challenges, which can make it more difficult to manage everyday tasks, such as food shopping or preparing meals. Magnolia Meals at HomeTM is a pilot meal delivery program providing nourishment at no-cost for families affected by breast cancer. The pilot program is currently available in and around Woodcliff Lake, NJ and Andover, MA (as well as areas in New York, New Hampshire and Boston). Recently, new communities in New Jersey have been added to the service area and include Clifton, Passaic, Little Falls and Totowa, as well as all of Essex County. Magnolia Meals at Home is a partnership among CancerCare, The Eisai Women's Oncology Program - Magnolia, Cancer Support Community and Meals on Wheels Association of America.

CancerCare Co-Sponsors Twenty-Third Annual Living with Cancer Conference
CancerCare is proud to be both a sponsor and presenter at the Twenty-Third Annual Living with Cancer Conference, taking placing on Saturday, July 20 from 9:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. This conference is free of charge and will offer information and practical tips to address the day-to-day challenges of living with cancer. CancerCare social workers, Carolyn Messner, DSW, LCSW-R and Maria Chi, MSW, LCSW will be presenting. Registration is required - learn more. |
Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp
CancerCare hosted its Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp at the Malibu Dude Ranch in Milford, PA in early June. Twenty-nine families enjoyed recreational activities and received emotional support through therapeutic activities. The free weekend retreat is held each year for families who have lost a loved one to cancer.
