This Week 2-19-2014 at Sea Hag Marina




On February 5, 2014,  just before 10:30 a.m., a gunman crashed a vehicle into the front of the Ford dealership in Perry,FL, exited the vehicle, and began shooting.

Taylor County Sheriff's Deputy Robert Lundy was in the dealership having his car serviced and immediately responded. Gunfire was exchanged and the gunman was killed. Deputy Lundy and two civilians were shot and are recovering at local hospitals while three additional victims suffered minor injuries.  Deputy Lundy saved many lives while risking his own. More........


The family of our hometown hero could use your support during his recovery period.  The family will receive 100% of the donations.

 Tyler Sumner from Lenox, GA, caught this redfish out of Keaton Beach fishing in 1-3 ft of water. He caught this nice redfish on a watermelon colored fluke by bouncing it off the bottom around the oyster bars on the falling tide. He also caught numerous trout on pearl white and nuclear chicken Gulp! shrimp.

Trout and Redfish Action

Crystal Pesek, from Steinhatchee, FL, was out fishing with her husband, Larry, last Sunday when she boated this fine19" trout along with a bunch of others north of the Steinhatchee River. Did you notice the Paul Brown Fat Boy 01?

Corbin Mackey, from Gainesville, FL, caught this big trout and a sheepshead while fishing with Jack and Melvina Cutright Monday.

Debbie Singletary, from Keystone Heights, FL, caught this big redfish during a airboat trip with Randy Harris Tuesday.


Kim Coffey caught this legal redfish that had 8 spots and won the Fiddler Crab Festival's "Lots of Spots" Redfish Tournament Saturday. 

Sea Bass Alley

Chase-N-Fish caught this and lots of other big black sea bass last week in 30' of water.

Chase-N-Fish had schools of nice size sea bass chasing his keepers all they way up to the surface last week.

Elliott McDavid from Gainesville, FL, caught this nice keeper trout trolling a MirrOlure MR 52 808 Saturday in the river.

Keith and Debbie Singletary, from Keystone Heights, FL, were out on an airboat ride with Randy Harris Tuesday when they boated this nice trout.

Sheepshead Action

Liz Reed, from Gainesville, FL, found this sheepshead hungry for a Sea Hag shrimp Monday while fishing with her husband, Dale, and Zack Bictila.

Wiley Horton, Crisp Gatewood, Greg Borganelli, Alan Swan and Mike Potapow needed a wheelbarrow to haul their sheepshead catch to the cleaning table last Sunday.



Captain Chaeli drew the winning ticket to the Mayo Shrine Club Raffle which included a night's stay at the Shacks at Sea Hag, a day's rental on a Sea Hag Marina Skiff and gift certificate for dinner at Roy's. Congratulations to the winner, James Fountain from Live Oak, FL.

Troy Thompson, Charlie Norwood, Richard McDavid, and Joe Cook present a certificate of appreciation to Sea Hag Marina for their donation.
