Photo of the Week
Donnie Ellington
Li Ming Su, from Gainesville, FL, Tim Jarvis, from Melbourne, FL, TJ Jarvis, from Gainesville, FL, Terry Summerson, from Fort Meyers, FL, Donnie Ellington, from Gainesville, FL, Dave Sowell, from Gainesville,FL and Larry Jarvis, from Titusville, FL, with a fine catch of red grouper, snapper, AJ's and a kingfish. They made a 100 mile or so run to the southwest late Friday and started fishing around 1:00 am Saturday. They said the weather was as good as it gets with fairly calm seas. The bite was slow and the mangos were very tight lipped, likely moon phase related. They did catch and release a dozen or so really nice gags (one was 38" long) and red snapper as well. They reported catching a giant bull shark just before sunrise. A very large cobia visited the boat but they could not entice a bite. They stopped fishing and returned home around 1 pm Saturday so they would not be in too much trouble for Mother's Day!
