Sheepshead Report!
They are on the reefs
Clayton Faircloth and Mike Flanders from Palataka, FL took on the rough seas and cold winds to head out to their favorite spot in 30' of water to give the sheepshead a try. They found a school hungry for some Sea Hag fiddlers. Clayton was schooling the adults on how to catch those sheepshead.
David White from Palataka, FL had his crew out in 30' of water bringing in those sheepshead on a cold and windy day last Sunday. David and his crew were feeding them some Sea Hag fiddler crabs.

Max Leatherwood and Ray Mitchell from the Atlanta, GA area braved the weather Saturday and found some really nice trout and redfish using the Paul Brown Original Devil 01 in about 2 feet of water.
in Gulf of Mexico state waters at the Feb. 13 meeting in Orlando.
The recreational open season for most state waters will start July 1 and end Dec. 3.
State waters off of Franklin, Wakulla, Jefferson and Taylor counties including all waters of Apalachicola Bay and Indian Pass, including those in Gulf County, and all waters of the Steinhatchee River, including those in Dixie County will have an open season of April 1 through June 30. This area of state waters will be closed to recreational gag grouper harvest during the July 1-Dec. 3 season.
