Matthew Fajack and his son, Ryan from Gainesville, FL. Didn't leave the Sea Hag Marina until about 10AM and worked their way into a hole in the midst of some 1-foot flats. Had a good bite for about an hour, boating 15 or ...so trout on MirrOlure 52M and MirrOminnow plugs. Wind increased to about 15 knots so they ran into a creek where they caught at least another 25 fish, including a few "gators" like this one. Great day with capt. Tommy
Jimmy Crawford and Billy Rees whent out Tuesday and found these nice trout and a lot more eager to bite their pearl white Gulp! and MirrOdine number 27MR EC just outside Rocky Creek.
Fishing Report
The warm weather we are currently experiencing have the trout and reds on the move. Reports of really active reds are coming in from the river and creek mouths around the oyster bars. Shrimp under a CajunThunder seems to be the most effective. The mouth of Bevins and Dallus creek is specially active right now for redfish. Some nice size sheepshead were caught in Porpoise creek on shrimp fished on the bottom. Trout seem to be hold up far back in the creeks north of the river with the best bite being right on the incoming tide change.
Dallas Stubbs with one of several reds caught last Friday on shrimp in a creek mouth south of the river with friends.
Nita Chester was out at her new favorite spot sunday and landed 3 - 22", 1 - 23", and 2 - 18" reds in about an hour, all by herself. But she won't say where.
