TIP OF THE WEEK
Here's a little surprise for the fish who like to inhale your bait. Try a 4/0 or 5/0 Mustad Circle Hook in the eyelet of your Mirro Lure. Courtesy of Fishing Guide Bouncer Smith.

OFFSHORE
Steve Plemons
Long time Sea Hag customer Steve Plemons and crew brought this fine Kingfish to the boat in about 26 feet of water. They managed 2 other nice Kings on the same trip. Steve said they had Kingfish hits from 3 to 15 miles out. Steve and crew also limited out on Gag grouper in 5 consecutive trips last week all within 10 miles of shore bottom fishing with squid and pinfish. They also caught Kings floating a pinfish under a popping cork while they bottom fished. Several large Spanish Mackerel were boated using strip bait on a jug head. Steve says "the fishing is good". I'll say!
INSHORE
Brycen Bracewell, Elijah and Skyler Hewitt
The Inshore fishing has turned the corner. Right now the trout and reds were chasing bait in depths of 3-foot flats. Reports are coming in about anglers catching fish on every cast. Topwater lures like Rapala Skitter Walk SSW-11, Heddon Super Spook Jr X9236sm are very productive. Pearl White/Chartreuse Gulp fished under a Cajun Thunder very effective on Reds and Trout. Lots of fun fish were around too! Ladyfish, Jacks and keep an eye out for the Tarpon. This is prime time fishing!
