Safety Measures Continue to Improve with
Start of 2013-14 School Year


During the 2012-13 school year, Hortonville Area School District (HASD) formed a district safety team to help improve safety for all students, staff and visitors. The team had made great progress throughout the year, having reviewed and improved the district Crisis Management Plan, restricting access to HASD facilities, working with RETA security consultants and local law enforcement agencies, as well as district administrators taking part in National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) training.

 

To continue moving forward in making HASD a safe learning environment, there will be additional improvements made during the 2013-14 school year. Read more... 

Meet Mr. Todd Timm, New HHS Principal

 

"It is with great enthusiasm that I am writing to introduce myself to the Hortonville and Greenville communities. I am looking forward to a new journey as the high school principal within the Hortonville Area School District. I am the proud father of two boys, Mason (8) and Bennett (5). Mason is in 2nd grade at Greenville Elementary School while Bennett is in Kindergarten at GES. My wife, Jessica, is a speech and language pathologist who has spent her professional career working with children from birth to 3 years of age who have a need for speech and language therapy." First Lego League Camp 2013 has Students Excited for Upcoming School Year

The 34 HASD middle school students who attended First Lego League (FLL) Camp at GMS on August 19 and 20 came away excited and ready to dive into the 2013 FLL season.

 

At camp, students practiced the FLL core values including teamwork and gracious professionalism. Read more...
