GES students in Mrs. Smith's and Mr. Harris' third & fourth grade classes participated in Innovation Day on March 22, 2013. Students researched & designed their own projects based on the Common Core Standards & a topic or idea they are passionate about. This student did his project on the Seven Wonders of the World.

HASD Expo Spotlight:  Battle of the Books

In less than two weeks, the HASD Spotlight on Education Expo will take place at Hortonville High School! This year, the final Battle of the Books competition will take place in the Library Media Center during the Expo, giving community members a chance to see what this program is all about along with the many other wonderful programs to be shown that night!

The time has finally come for Hortonville Area School District (HASD) residents to vote on the two referendum questions! Provided here is a final overview to ensure you have the information needed to make an informed decision tomorrow, April 2, 2013.

Ensuring that students are prepared for future education and the workforce is extremely important. That's why Hortonville Middle School (HMS) 6th grade students engage in various activities centered on careers and economics. 

 

One activity that the 6th grade team at HMS organizes for students is Career Days. On the second Tuesday of every month during the school year, volunteers visit the students to share information on their careers. They discuss their educational backgrounds and explain what a typical day is like for them. Read more...

Teachers know that sometimes, it can be a challenge to get students interested in every topic that you teach them. So how do we make learning more interesting and get them engaged?  

 

One Greenville Middle School Science teacher, Mrs. Mork, asked the Fox Valley Herpetology Club (FVHC) to come in with live snakes to help make things more interesting for her 7th grade classes. Read more...
