Referendum: A Look at Space Needs in HASD
With the referendum vote inching closer, Hortonville Area School District (HASD) realizes the importance of explaining the various components. Two of these projects include building a new K-4 building, as well as renovating and adding onto Hortonville High School (HHS).
The HASD has been experiencing steady growth in student enrollment in all of its schools, but especially at the elementary level. This inflow of students has caused extreme space concerns at both GES and HES, which are both exceeding their maximum capacity. To address this need for additional space, the HASD is proposing to build a new K-4 facility, accounting for approximately $15.6 million of the referendum dollar amount.

Blended Education Offered in HASD
Now more than ever, students have numerous opportunities to learn, as well as multiple avenues to do so. That's why blended education is an option for students in the Hortonville Area School District (HASD).

HASD School Board Member Marv Obry Retires
On April 2, 2013, the school board elections will take place as three seats are open. With this comes news of Marv Obry, a longtime supporter who has been involved with Hortonville Area School District in multiple ways, retiring from the school board.
Marv grew up in Casco, WI as the youngest boy in his family. As the youngest, he was supposed to stay and take over the family farm; however, Marv has what's known as club foot, so his parents decided that he should get an education instead.Read more...
