Safety Improvements in Hortonville Area School District
 Hortonville Area School District has made immediate safety improvements to ensure security for our students and staff. Improvements were made regarding facilities access and overall staff and student awareness. First, access to all facilities has been restricted, with only front doors being open; all other entry points are locked. To aid decreased access to facilities, visitor management has been strengthened by having all visitors check in with front office staff and wearing a visitor badge while in all HASD buildings. Progressing as a Professional Learning Community
Hortonville Area School District started changing its culture to become a Professional Learning Community (PLC) at the beginning of the 2012-13 school year. While this shift has been a large one for HASD staff, the district is making great progress with working in teams to continuously improve the school district and learning opportunities for students.
