A Space Needs Study Team Update

HASD's 4K Creative Curriculum Program 
The Hortonville Area School District continues to offer 4K at various community sites throughout Greenville and Hortonville to give young children learning opportunities prior to 5K/Kindergarten. The 4K 'Creative Curriculum', which is aligned with WMELS (Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards), is based on five fundamental principles:
- Positive interactions and relationships with adults provide a critical foundation for successful learning
- Social-emotional competence is a significant factor in school success
- Constructive, purposeful play supports essential learning
- The physical environment affects the type and quality of learning interactions
- Teacher-Family partnerships promote development and learning
