Hortonville Area School District has a fantastic music program across all of the schools in the District, and many concerts are coming up as the holiday season approaches. Come out to support the students and music department by attending some of these wonderful events!

HASD Planning a 2nd Spotlight on Education Expo

 

Due to the great turnout and positive feedback from last year's Spotlight on Education Expo, the Hortonville Area School District has been working on a second Expo, which will take place on April 11, 2013! Last year's Expo showcased over 80 programs and businesses, and we only hope that the number grows for this year's Expo. Read more... 

A Space Needs Study Team Update

The Space Needs Study Team continues to meet and discuss the space concerns in the Hortonville Area School District. At the November 1st meeting, a discussion on optimal and critical class sizes for a new building, as well as where the 4K program will be housed, ensued.  Read more...

HASD's 4K Creative Curriculum Program  

 

The Hortonville Area School District continues to offer 4K at various community sites throughout Greenville and Hortonville to give young children learning opportunities prior to 5K/Kindergarten. The 4K 'Creative Curriculum', which is aligned with WMELS (Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards), is based on five fundamental principles: 

  1. Positive interactions and relationships with adults provide a critical foundation for successful learning 
  2. Social-emotional competence is a significant factor in school success  
  3. Constructive, purposeful play supports essential learning
  4. The physical environment affects the type and quality of learning interactions
  5. Teacher-Family partnerships promote development and learning
